The Makings of a Pillow

This commission was for a man wanting to honor his mother for the Christmas holiday. One of his siblings was stationed in Iraq while several of the other siblings were scattered all over the United States.  Since they could not all be together with their mom on Christmas my client suggested that each sibling send me an article of clothing.  They all did – even the daughter-in-law and the grandchildren were represented, and so, with these articles of clothing the pillow was commissioned.  In all, four generations were represented: the woman's mother, her late husband, her children and her grandchildren. The finished project was a joint effort and their mother was so very moved by the pillow.
